Copyright and photo removal

We write our own text. Every photo comes from Wikimedia Commons under a free license, and each one is credited where it appears and again on the image credits page, with a link to the license and to the original file. Maps use OpenStreetMap data under the ODbL.

If you own something on this site

If you took one of these photos or own anything else here, and the credit is wrong or you do not want it here, tell us and we will fix it. We aim to correct the credit or take the photo or text down within two working days of reading your message, and we will reply to say it is done.

Email [email protected] with:

• the page address, and which photo or passage you mean;
• where the original is published (for a photo, its Commons, Flickr or portfolio page);
• what you would like: a different credit line, or removal.

If a photo has since been removed from Commons or its license page has changed, tell us that too. We keep a dated record of the license each file carries on Commons.
